Safety advisory groups

Mel Croft made this Freedom of Information request to East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust,

1. Can you advise if your organisation still uses the outdated and out of print HSE document HSG195 to determine the medical cover required for events or if you now make use of the latest and recommended "Purple guide" (www.thepurpleguide.co.uk)

2. If the former, please provide the reason and any supporting documentation for using outdated material.

3. Please provide details of the clinical qualifications of those who represent your organisation on the safety advisory groups and provide "advice" to event organisers and medical providers for the following areas:

a) All Safety Advisory Groups covered by East of England Ambulance Service

I do not require individual names, just the evidence that those who represent on thee groups are clinically qualified and competent to give advice to qualified event medical providers.

Yours faithfully,

Mel Croft

FOI, East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust
