Dear Solicitors Regulation Authority,

Please can you confirm what training and safeguarding is in place for investigators regarding the treatment of disabled individuals.

For instance, how are the SRA training their Investigators to take into account the significant delays in the NHS and the impact of this on disabled individuals.

These delays are having a significant effect on the ability of disabled people to receive treatment and to obtain medical documents, but there seems to be no steps by the SRA to acknowledge and account for these difficulties.

For instance, medical notes are dismissed out of hand with the hard-line that only a GP letter addressed to the SRA can be used as evidence. GP letters from my surgery currently take around 3 months to obtain (an appointment alone is 1 month after request).

Please can you confirm what training is being given or policies have been put in place to ensure non-discrimination because of this?
