Safeguarding children: Prevent and Channel data sharing
Dear Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, pleadse provide the following information since Section 1(1) provides that: “Any person making a request for information to a public authority is entitled – (a) to be informed in writing by the public authority whether it holds information of the description specified in the request, and (b) if that is the case, to have that information communicated to him.”
Section 3(2) provides that: “For the purposes of this Act, information is held by a public authority if – (a) it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person, or (a) it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.”
Please can you provide for 2017, 2018 and currently:
1. The document showing the information, such as in the form of the privacy policy and consent form, that individuals (and/or their parent/guardian) receive before personal information is shared about them with third parties as part of the Channel programme.
2. Please provide the total number of onward contact points involved in information sharing as a result of a Channel panel review, and list which third party organisations are always, or may be, involved.

I am writing in response to the below information request in relation
'Prevent and Channel'. Local Safeguarding Children Boards are not public
authorities for the purposes of the freedom of information act 2000.
However, Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board (BSCB) where possible
shares information to enhance understanding of the effectiveness of
partnership working to safeguard and protect children in Birmingham.
In relation to this specific information request:
Please can you provide for 2017, 2018 and currently:
