Safe Staffing

David Jones made this Freedom of Information request to Powys Regional Partnership Board Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Powys Regional Partnership Board should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Powys Regional Partnership Board,

For the entire week beginning 5 August 2024, what was the percentage of the baseline recommendation of Whole Time Equivalent consultants available to staff each of the A&E departments within your health board area?

This should exclude the use of locums.

the baseline recommendation refers to The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) which sets a ‘baseline’ for the number of WTE (working-time equivalent) consultants which should be employed in the department to guarantee safe cover.

Yours faithfully,

David Jones

Hello David,

Thank you for your email. Powys does not have a district general hospital
so we have no A&E departments.

Many thanks,
