Dear Herefordshire Council,
1. Between 1st February 2019 to 12th January 2020 how many enquiries have been taken (or instigated) by Herefordshire Council, under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, in response to indications of abuse or neglect reported by concerned family members or relatives of an adult with care and support needs who is at risk and are unable to protect themselves because of those needs?
(Please provide separate figures for each year).
2. Of those enquiries taken (or instigated) by Herefordshire Council, under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, due to a report by concerned family members or relatives, how many (providing separate figures for each) have involved a person in the following:
a. Their home
b. Nursing Home
c. Residential home
3. 6. Of the total enquiries taken (or instigated) under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, by Herefordshire Council how many have involved claims against a Priory Group care home or staff of The Priory Group?
7. Of the total enquiries taken (or instigated) under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, by Herefordshire Council how many have involved providers other than The Priory Group or staff other than of The Priory Group?
8. Of the total enquiries taken (or instigated) under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, by Herefordshire Council between 1st February 2019 to 12th January 2020 how many have involved claims of injuries; i.e broken bone, head injury, pressure sore, urinary tract infection?

9. Of those cases involving injuries, how many were proven and how many referred to The Priory Group or their staff

clarification as to what you are requesting.
Please can you clarify Questions 1, 3 and 5. For each of these you have
requested the information between 1 February 2019 and 12 January 2020.
However, each of these questions then goes onto ask for separate figures
to be provided for each year.
Please can you clarify what timeframe you require the information for?
Under S1 (3) of the Act, the statutory limit of 20 working days is
suspended until the question has been clarified sufficiently to locate the

clarified it will be considered and processed further.
