Thank you for your request for information regarding S106 monies from the cog road development sully, which we received on the 27th of March 2024.

Your request
Please can you advise where the S106 monies for the above development are to be allocated and please advise the monies which are being allocated to the community of Sully and Lavernock as per the regulations.

Our response
The Section 106 contributions pursuant to planning application 2013/01279/OUT - land to the south of Cog Road, Sully have currently been allocated to the following schemes as follows:

Sustainable Transport - £802,803 received
£50,000 allocated to Green links.
£2,152 allocated to new footway link from new development off Cog Road to existing footpath to rear of Kingsley Close.
£2,500 allocated to Sully bus shelter review
£29,000 allocated to new bus shelter on Lavernock Road, near Cosmeston Lakes Country Park
£150,000 allocated to pedestrian improvements near Sully Primary School
£1,850 allocated to topographical surveys in association with pedestrian improvements in Sully.

Public Open Space - £175,275.30 received
£175,275.30 allocated to upgrading the Council owned public space and play area to the north of South Road, Sully.

Public Art - To be provided on site by the developer

Community Facilities - £425,994.08 received
Several schemes currently under consideration - monies still to allocate

Education - £4,197,914.88 received
£980,389.88 allocated to Ysgol Bro Morgannwg.
£46,866 allocated towards the Centre of Learning and Wellbeing.
£329,084 allocated to Ysgol Y Deri Phase II expansion
£9,697.20 allocated to a new nursery at St. Joseph's RC Primary School

Remainder of education contribution still under consideration.

Highway Works - £25,776 received
Specific scheme identified at Biglis roundabout

Ecology
To be provided on site by the developer

Affordable Housing
40% affordable housing provision on site. 140 affordable dwellings comprising of 98 social rented dwellings and 41 intermediate dwellings (low cost home ownership).
