Rules on Forming Minority Governments
Dear Prime Minister’s Office,
I am interested in what happened as to the protocol in visiting the Queen and forming a government.
Is there a link to information as to what should happen in these circumstances?
Did the Queen invite Theresa May to visit her and form a government? If so could you send me the recorded information and metadata on both of those steps?
Did Theresa May say she was able to form a government? Did she have to prove that she was able to form a government?
What are the rules and protocols around the Queens speech as to when it should be and the vote on it?
If the majority vote against the Queens Speech what happens?
Yours faithfully,
Ann McNeil
