The request was successful.

Dear Oxfordshire County Council,

Please provide copies of all rules and procedures you have relating to proof of residence for residents' parking schemes in Oxford.

In particular, I am interested in what does and what does not count as proof of residence, so please also include any minutes of meetings or correspondence which sheds light on this.

Yours faithfully,

Duncan Parkes

Dear Renata Malinowski,

Thank you for the documents relating to the Oxford residents' parking schemes.

I've had a look through these and I'm afraid I can't see what I was looking for. I've been told by the council that it is essential that a council tax or utility bill used as proof of address not only relates to the property in question, but also has the correspondence address as that property. I am assuming that the person I spoke to was not making this up as they went along, so there is presumably a list of written rules available indicating what is and what is not acceptable as proof of address. It's possible that this is only available as email correspondence - if so, then I would be happy to receive that.

Please could you have another look and see if you can find a detailed list of rules for what does and does not constitute proof of residency.

Yours sincerely,

Duncan Parkes

Oxfordshire County Council

That is unhelpful!

If you select "Write a Reply" you are given the option as to where the reply should go. I recommend trying again but selecting "the main FOI address for..."

Dear Renata Malinowski,

Thank you for this latest information, and in particular the spreadsheet, which answers my question perfectly.

It would be useful if this list of accepted forms of proof of residence could be published on the Council's website. I could have provided several of these without wasting any of my time or that of external organisations.

Yours sincerely,

Duncan Parkes
