RSPB Leasehold Land at Holyhead Mountain

The request was partially successful.

Dear Isle of Anglesey Council,

This request concerns all the land that RSPB lease from IoACC that comes under the current 21 year lease for RSPB South Stack, therefore you can take it to mean Holyhead Mountain, The Range, South Stack and all it currently encompasses.

1)Please can you tell me if you intend to put lease out for tender when it expires, so that other interested parties may potentially take the lease instead, upon renewal?

2)Is the lease renewal subject to an exclusive negotiation between yourselves and the current tenants (RSPB) and is that normal practice?

3)Please can you tell me, what the intended new annual rent for the all the RSPB South Stack/Range/Holyhead Mountain land will be? If you do not yet know the figure or it is sensitive information that cannot be released, what is the current formula that the council works to, for calculating such rents?

4)Please can you tell me the intended term/duration of the new lease?

Yours faithfully,
Lisa Hooton

Dear Isle of Anglesey Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Isle of Anglesey Council's handling of my FOI request 'RSPB Leasehold Land at Holyhead Mountain'.

I understand that the lease negotiations are ongoing and therefore some of the questions may not be able to be answered but I feel that some of the questions could have been addressed namely points 1 & 2 below:

1)Please can you tell me if you intend to put lease out for tender when it expires, so that other interested parties may potentially take the lease instead, upon renewal?

2)Is the lease renewal subject to an exclusive negotiation between yourselves and the current tenants (RSPB) and is that normal practice?

and part of point 3 being what formula do you use to calculate rental amounts on leased land?

3)Please can you tell me, what the intended new annual rent for the all the RSPB South Stack/Range/Holyhead Mountain land will be? If you do not yet know the figure or it is sensitive information that cannot be released, what is the current formula that the council works to, for calculating such rents?
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...

Yours faithfully,

Lisa Hooton
