Royalties
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
How much have the BBC paid to PRS for Music and Phonographic Performance Limited in royalties for music played in financial years ending 31st March 2017 and 31st March 2018.
Do the BBC pay royalties to any other organisations or direct to performers / writers?
Do the BBC receive any payments from writers / performers / agents etc. to play or promote music tracks?
Do the BBC log when particular music tracks are played and submit those figures to any body to ensure the appropriate royalties are paid to the artists / writers?
When a radio is played in a public place is the BBC aware that PRS for Music and Phonographic Performance Limited expect to collect further royalties from the organisations that play this music?
Yours faithfully,
Michael Rutherford
