Please could you inform me of what the situation with these buses are, if there are imminent plans to reintroduce them, or to get a replacement fleet for them?

Hi Lewis,

You do not need to make an FOI request for this information. 

Our technicians found a design fault with the vehicles which could have
potentially become a safety issue. 
The vehicles are currently back with the manufacturer who is addressing
the issue and we expect to have the buses back shortly
