Dear Thomas,

Thanks for your recent email about the bus type that run service of the
route 232.

When buses are scheduled to run through a specific route, out Network
Development team usually visit the route, from where the route starts to
where it terminates. This is so that they can make decisions according to
health, safety and customer preferences.

In regards to your enquiry of why the 232 bus does not operate using
double decker buses, due to there not being any double decker buses on the
route of the 232, this is because once the route was observed it was
deemed that a double decker bus on this route would be unsafe, considering
the type of road the route passes through, residential areas and available
space.

However, please rest assured that I have sent a copy of your enquiry over
to our Network Development team. This is so that they can look into this
further for you and see if there are any changes that can be made to
improve your form off commute.

Thanks again for contacting us. If there's anything else we can assist you
with, please reply to this email and we'll be happy to help.
Alternatively, you can speak to one of our Customer Service Advisers on
0343 222 1234.

Kind regards

4 January 2019

Dear Thomas

Thank you for your email enquiry of 3 January in regards to 232 being a
double decker bus.

Before a bus route is put in operation we investigate to see what type of
bus will be suitable for the route. Some of the roads around London are
not suitable to have a Double Decker bus to run along the route due narrow
roads or low bridges.

Thank you for contacting us. If there is anything else we can help you
with, please reply to this email. Alternatively, you can call us on 0343
222 1234 and we'll be happy to help you.

Kind regards
