Rostering Software System

We're waiting for Amie Gardner to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Hull City Council,

Under FOI please provide the following information relating to how the council rosters its staff.
Does the council currently use rostering software?
Please state the name(s) of all rostering software used, split by the following departments. Where no rostering software is used, please explain how these staff are rostered:
a. Adult Services (specifically Care Professionals involved in the delivery of Adult Care)
b. Children Services (specifically Care Professionals involved in the delivery of Child Care)
c. Education (teaching Staff) ,
d. Environmental
• Trading Standards
• Noise and & Nuisance
• Food Safety
• Pest Control

e. Other (please specify)
Does the council store its rostering data on its own servers or in the Cloud? Again please provide this information for each of the following staffing groups: a. Adult Services, b. Reablement Team c. Children Services, d. Education, e. Environmental, e. Other (please specify)
What other rostering systems are used by the council? Please state the names of any providers used and what they are used for
Please provide details of contract duration and when they expire

Freedom of Information Act
This covers general recorded information that is held by the Council.
Examples: budget information, staff structures, details of contracts etc

From the next working day that the request is received we have 20 working
days to respond. This does not take in to account any clarification we may
require or if we need to consider the Public Interest Test which allows us
up to a maximum of 20 additional working days.

Environmental Information Regulation
This covers all environmental information held by the Council.
Examples: Planning Applications, details of proposed road works, flood
information, pollution information etc.

From the next working day that the request is received we have 20 working
days to respond.

Section 7 of the Data Protection Act (Subject Access Request)
This section of the Data Protection legislation only relates to requests
for information about the requester or a client if you are acting on their
behalf.
Examples: Personnel file, Housing file, Council Tax/Housing Benefit
information etc.

We have 40 days from the date of receipt to respond.

Adult services do not use rostering software. Adult staff rostering is
managed by the team manager and is usually delegated to one of their
senior workers.

 

b. Children Services (specifically Care Professionals involved in the
delivery of Child Care)

 

Childrens services do not use rostering software. Childrens’ staff
rostering is managed by the team manager and is usually delegated to one
of their senior workers.

 

c.   Education (teaching Staff),

 

Education do not use rostering software.

 

d.   Environmental

•      Trading Standards

•       Noise and & Nuisance

•        Food Safety

•       Pest Control

 

None of these services use rostering software. In terms of providing cover
for some of our services out of normal hours, the only areas where cover
is provided is for our nuisance investigation work (primarily noise
nuisance) and our dog warden service. For both of these we have a list of
volunteers (8 volunteers for each service) and staff work on an 8 week
rota basis to provide this service. Additional payments outside of
contractual pay are provided for working on these services.

 

e. Other (please specify) Cleaning – bclean oracle form development

Bclean is managed on our own servers. No other rostering software is used
by Hull City Council.
