Could you also provide similar documents for the Elizabeth line, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway and London Trams with a list of rolling stock assets and their formations.

February 2024 asking for information about the London Underground Rolling
Stock Unit formations and Asset list.

 

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can
confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

 

Please see the requested information for the London Overground, DLR and
Trams:

 

London Overground:

 

• 20 x Class 378/1 EMU (5-car unit)
• 37 x Class 378/2 EMU (5-car unit)
• 30 x Class 710/1 Aventra (4-car unit)
• 18 x Class 710/2 Aventra (4-car unit)
• 6 x Class 710/3 Aventra (5-car unit)

 

Trams:

 

Please note trams are bi-directional and have an A end and B end. The A
end faces west towards Wimbledon and the B end east towards either New
Addington, Beckenham Junction or Elmers End.

• For Bombardier Transportation Low Floor Tram CR4000, please see
attached ‘FOI-4022-2324 Trams 1’. This has 3 sections
• For Stadler Variobahn Tram, please see attached ‘FOI-4022-2324 Trams
1’. This was designed to have 7 modules but allow this to fit onto our
tramway they were shortened to 5 units.

 

DLR:

 

For service, the B90/B92/B2000 vehicles are considered 1 fleet, clustered
as ‘B92s’ and are compatible for coupling into 2 and 3 car formations
which are not fixed. The B2007’s are not compatible and can only be
coupled to each other. The numbers following the alphabet denotes the year
the vehicle was manufactured e.g. B90 (1990).
