Dear Wandsworth Borough Council,

The other week the Community Services and Overview Scrutiny committee approved the recommendations in paper 17-298.

I understand that officers advised councillors of the need to increase the % of household signatures needed from resident led petitions both to bring the policy in line with the existing Richmond council policy as well as to avoid taking up committee time with petitions that didn't carry very much support. I suspect paper 17-294 could be an example which officers may have had in mind.

Please supply a list of the road safety related petitions that have been submitted to the council 2014-2017 with the following details:

Number of signatures
Number of households in potentially affected area
% of households nominally supportive given signatures
With/without councillor support
Presented/not presented to committee

I'm aware that with councillor support the previous policy allowed for a lower threshold of signatures to be obtained (10% of households instead of 25%).

Yours faithfully,

Jon Irwin

Dear Freedom Of Information,

Thank you for the details pertaining to e-petitions submitted to the council as listed here:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...

This only partially deals with my request, as paper petitions are also submitted to the council, and the response only has information on e-petitions submitted using the council's portal.

If the council has no records of hand delivered paper petitions or their outcomes as requested in the FOI linked above, please could this be confirmed.

Yours sincerely,

Jon Irwin
