Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,
1. I would like to know what company it was that resurfaced the Chester High Road between Boathouse Lane and The Devon Doorway Island at Gayton,
2. The company that resurfaced Rocky Lane in Heswall.
3. How much each of them cost.
Maureen Edis- Blewitt
Dear Ms Edis-Blewitt,
Thank you for your recent FOI request, submitted under the FOIA 2000. Our
response is as follows:
“We surfaced Rocky Lane South with a treatment called "Micro-asphalt".
This was funded from last year's DfT pothole fund. Officer state they can
only give indicative costs as figures and contracts are commercially
sensitive around a figure of £9,000.
Chester High Road was a double dress surface dressing, from the Council's
capital programme, approximate cost was £66,000.
The work was the responsibility of our then term service contractor Bam
Nuttall, who are no longer employed by Wirral, the contract ended 30th
I trust this will be of assistance to your enquiries.
