Road Index and Highway Maintenance

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Bradford City Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Bradford City Council,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to you under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request information regarding the annual expenditure of the Council on road condition surveys as part of the Road Indexing activity administered by the Department of Transport. To assist you in processing this request, I have outlined the specific details below:
Please provide the total amount spent by the Council on road condition surveys for each fiscal year from 2010 to 2022, inclusive. If available, kindly specify the breakdown of the expenditure by year, indicating the amount spent on the Road Indexing activity through the Department of Transport.
Please also provide the information for which company/contractor has won the contract in each year.
I understand that the Road Indexing activity involves monitoring and assessing the condition of roads, providing valuable data to ensure effective road maintenance and planning. As a concerned citizen, I believe it is crucial to have access to information regarding the financial resources allocated to this essential activity.

Yours faithfully,

Mike Mockford
