River Gipping diversion
Dear Environment Agency,
Would you tell me what law was used to divert the River Gipping at Ipswich please? I am aware of the Ipswich Dock Acts but what interests me here is how the Gipping came to be stopped up somewhere around Alderman Road in Ipswich as I can see no mention of this in the Ipswich Dock Acts?
Yours faithfully,
Peter Turtill

Dear Environment Agency,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Environment Agency's handling of my FOI request 'River Gipping diversion'.
I am seeking an internal review please. This could be extremely interesting as if the river has not been legally extinguished it must be re-instated and that could be very significant in a court case I have against DEFRA/EA. I would suggest you pass this to your legal department.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...
Yours faithfully,
Peter Turtill
