River Ecology Data to support Otter release
Dear Natural England,
You have sanctioned and supported the release of captive bred otters in the the wild. I believe our river systems are not, and have not been healthy enough to support this act of well meaning environmental vandalism. The European Eel is critically endangered, a favored staple of an Otter's diet, and most of our river systems have failed the latest EU river health tests which measure the bio-diversity health of a river, not just the cleanliness of them. I contest that our rivers are sick and do not have the rich bio-diversity needed to support a healthy otter population.
Please supply me with the river ecology data you collected to support the release of Otters into our river systems.
Yours faithfully,
Rodney Lee
