Risk of Emotional Harm
Dear Wandsworth Borough Council,
How many children taken into care cases have in the last three
years:
1. Resulted in long term care (long term being 1 year plus)
2. Adoption
As a result of assessment of the child being at risk of future
emotional harm where
A. There were no issues of physical neglect or harm
B. Where there were some other parenting concerns such as parental
physical or mental health issue, but
C. There were no other substantive issues
The substance of this FOI is where care or adoptions were
undertaken where there were primarily future risks only.

This FOI is made by the following organisation and not by an
individual
This FOI Request is made by the Advocacy Fund which is an
organisation and not by an individual.

ICO Section 8 Guidance states:
In the case of a company, it is not necessary to provide the full
registered name. It will be acceptable to provide another name
which exists as a real entity, such as a trading name.
Also under the guidance an email address is considered sufficient
under the DPA for an address.
FOR CLARITY:
The Advocacy Fund is the Name of the organisation managed by
Advocati Massa Ltd (Reg in England), who appoints it officers. Both
are Not for Profit Organisations.
Both are real names in law and this FOI request is therefore
compliant with the FOI Act and section 8 Guidance.

I am writing to you to ask you clarify your request. This is because we
are not sure that we have understood your request correctly and we need
further information to identify and locate the information requested.
I understand you wish to receive information on the number of children
taken into care cases which have resulted in long-term care and adoption.
Our proposed response would read your parts A,B and C conjunctively to
provide two figures:
1. The number of children taken into care cases in the last three
years where as a result of assessment of the child being at risk of future
emotional harm and where there were no issues of physical neglect or harm
or other substantive issues, but where there were some other parenting
concerns such as parental physical or mental health issue which have
resulted in:

Adoption X
ii.
Long-term care Y
I would be grateful if you could confirm that this is the correct
interpretation of your enquiry, or advise me accordingly.
