Dear Mr Jefferson

Please can you clarify the following regarding your FOI request below.

1. Are ACTUAL copies of the assessment required or a list?
2. your definition of the word 'ordered'

Thank you

Dear Chrys Mellor,

Thank you for your clarification request.

We would prefer the actual copies of the assessment but if they cannot be provided then a list of assessments would be satisfactory.

Our definition of the word 'ordered' in this instance is a request for the risk assessment(s) to be carried out made from your council to the party carrying out the assessment(s).

If your council requires further clarification please kindly let us know.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Jefferson

I write in response to your FOI request regarding risk assessments undertaken over the past 24 months (July 2015 - July 2017) in libraries. A total of 160 assessments were carried out by the Council's Health and Safety team and library managers. The following shows the breakdown for the libraries for which the Council had responsibility until 31 March 2017. We have generic assessments which are then adapted for location specific risks where necessary, similarly where an individual has specific needs, for example returning to work after illness, most are reviewed annually and as legislation changes.
