Risk Assessment For 55 Vista Way, Kenton, HA3 0SP
Dear Brent Borough Council,
Please provide the below information under the Freedom Of Information Act.
It has come to my attention that 55 Vista Way which was purchased by Hopewell Housing Ltd has been converted to become a residential care home (HMO) for recovering drug addiction, alcoholism & mental health issues. This residential care home will be run by Comfort Care Services as a way station between formal care & re-entering the community.
As far as I know, Hopewell Housing Ltd has not applied for planning or building regulation approval from Brent Council to convert the residential property into a HMO, nor has a HMO license been granted by the council.
The residents in the vicinity of Vista Way are concerned that 55 Vista Way being used as a way stations between formal care & re-entering the community will have a significant impact on the well being of families & also pupils who attend nearly schools & educational establishments.
Can you please formally advise via this FOI request whether:
1 - Brent Council has performed a risk assessment for 55 Vista Way to be used as a HMO for persons re-entering the community after recovering from Drug Addiction, Alcoholism & Mental Health issues?
2 - Brent Council has received a HMO license application for 55 Vista Way?
3 - Brent Council has received a building regulation application for 55 Vista Way to be converted into a licensed HMO?
4 - Brent Council has contacted the local schools in the vicinity of 55 Vista Way advising that the property will be used as a way station for persons re-entering the community after recovering from Drug Addiction, Alcoholism & Mental Health issues
