Dear Chris Wooden

I write further to previous correspondence.

Richmond Gabriel University College Of Medicine was added to the ‘may be
acceptable’ list in January 2023. The university changed its name from All
Saints University College of Medicine, which had been on the ‘may be
acceptable’ list since 2015. It was added to this list due to concerns
about the duration of the course of study, specifically that it may be
less than 3 years, and concerns over the amount of time spent in the
country where the qualification is awarded.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any comments or concerns
about how your request has been handled please email [1][GMC request email].

Kind Regards

Dear Chris Wooden

I write further to previous correspondence.

Upon review, the GMC would like to clarify that the information provided
previously relates to ‘All Saints University School of Medicine’
(Dominica), not ‘All Saints University College of Medicine’ (St. Vincent
and Grenadines) which Richmond Gabriel University College of Medicine was
previously known as.

This error occurred as the above Awarding Bodies previously held similar
names.

To clarify, All Saints University College of Medicine (St. Vincent and the
Grenadines) has been renamed Richmond Gabriel University College of
Medicine. This awarding body was added to our list of overseas medical
qualifications we may accept in 2015 because their website stated that
students may be able to transfer into the clinical phase of the MD
programme as long as they had completed Basic Medical Sciences and passed
the USMLE. Therefore, it appeared that it was possible for some graduates
to have completed less than 50% of the programme in the awarding body
country.

Please allow me to offer my sincere apologies for the error in the
information previously provided.

Kind Regards
