Reviews of Premises licences under the Licensing Act 2003

Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) did not have the information requested.

Dear Metropolitan Police Service (MPS),

Please indicate whether the Commission of the Metropolitan Police or his Deputy or Assistants have at any time whether by internal phone communication or email or memorandum asked for the production of figures relating to the number of reviews of premises licences under the Licensing Act 2003 Section 51 and summary reviews of premises licences under Section 53A which have been applied for since he became Commissioner.

Can you also please provide details of any requests by the commissioner’s office relating to the total costs of bringing such proceedings and any breakdowns that were provided in response to his office.

Could you also provide information as to whether the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police or his Deputy or Assistants have requested details of how many such reviews carried out under the above named sections of the Licensing Act 2003 resulted in changes to the premises licences and how many resulted in complete revocation. If such request have been made could you kindly provide the details of any reply given to the Commissioner or his deputies or assistants.

Yours faithfully,
