Revenge porn data

The request was successful.

Dear West Midlands Police,

I hope you and the team are well. Please can you provide figures on the number of cases of revenge porn reported to the force in the year 2015/16.

Please can you also disaggregate data according to the following information:
- The crime outcome (no action, charge, caution etc) of the offences as well as the number of offences where the victim did not support or withdrew support for police action
- The number of victims under the age of 18
- The gender of the victim

Please also provide, where possible, cases in which the case involved social media. I understand this isn't routinely logged, so please just include notes from free-text searches for key words ("social media" , "Twitter", "Facebook" etc) where available.

Yours faithfully,
M Esslemont

Dear Mr Notley

Thank you so much for your in-depth and timely response.

I understand that there may be a delay due to the impact of coronavirus, but I'd like to ask for the same data as in 2015/2016 as per the original request, but as in 2019/2020. This is so that we can update our records, and we do not need any further information on this subject for the rest of the calendar year. I recognise that this will take at least an additional 20 working days to provide.

Thank you so much for your understanding.

Yours sincerely,
M Esslemont
