Thank you for your request which we are responding to under the Freedom of
Information Act (2000).

 

Request

 

Can you please tell me how many successful (if any) claims for the
retrieval of funds have happened in the last ten years for cases where the
claim was seen as fraudulent as in several sexual abuse cases.

 

Response

 

We have successfully recovered funds in 8 fraudulent claims in the last
ten years.

 

Right to request a review

 

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your
original letter and should be addressed to: Criminal Injuries Compensation
