Results of the Council action to reduce idling and pollution

We're waiting for Jean-Francois Paris to read a recent response and update the status.

Jean-Francois Paris

Dear Westminster City Council,

As many of the borrow residents affected by air pollution, I would like to read about the actions and results of the council action to reduce reduction

To this end, could you please furnish statistics that demonstrate the efficiency of your action, namely

1) The council web page allows the reporting of idling vehicles (https://www.westminster.gov.uk/report-en.... The council does not follow up on each report but uses it to identify idling hotspots. Based on reports since the beginning of 2017, could you please publish the list of the top 10 idling hotpots in the borough with the numbers of reports received

2) For each of those hotspots, could you please summarise how the council acted to address the resident concerns and reduce idling pollution

Now regarding the Don't be Idle campaign of the Council

3) How much has been spent on that campaign over the last twelve months

4) How does the council measure the efficiency of the campaign

5) What statistics have you collected to demonstrate that the campaign if efficient and that private and commercial drivers are shutting down their engine when parked

Yours faithfully,

JF Paris
Westminster resident
