Dear Scottish Prison Complaints Commission,
I am writing to request all information you can provide related to training received by your staff in crisis intervention, including post trauma. This has been my professional speciality, with a focus on interpersonal communications.
I mean any memos related to crisis intervention training for the past five calendar years, approximately. Available copies of publications used as training manuals or guides in delivering crisis intervention workshops. Any copies u might have of agendas of any meetings about crisis intervention, or portions of meetings, or even records of requests for those meetings.
I am requesting a list of professional organizations that you co-operate with in issues related to crisis intervention of any kind at all, including post trauma- so that might even include your local 911 or emergency services. Perhaps VON? Perhaps local police, or other ,local organizations assist you in recommending, reviewing, or even training with you? IS CPI- Crisis Prevention and Intervention offered every six months for your staff? Is CPR and First Aid offered every six months for your staff? Does your staff have opportunities to blend some training time with local police, security firms, militia and your military forces? Roughly how much time per month or year would u estimate, personally, if there are no documents? Thank you, if you, personally, choose to provide that information.
Please locate a record indicating how many activities, perhaps labelled 'training' on a ledger somewhere took place at HMP Maghaberry, HMP Hydebank, or any other HMP location in any area of the United Kingdom- in so many ways, Canada, so far across the waters, is itself a large area considered by many to be, in fact, part of the United Kingdom- between the years 2008-2011, and provide as much detail about that as possible. Including as many numbers about as many mundane details as you possibly can. I will send a similar request to a similar office located in Canada, and ask them to locate records of the same here in Canada for the same years.
No doubt your office has had communications misdirected on purpose about the severity of conditions at several UK and Canadian prisons. Thank you for redirecting them to appropriate offices.
Please provide the name and contact details of the military liason person for your office- and as many details as you comfortable posting online about contacting him or her. As the prison complaints department you must have a military liason officer that chats with you about stuff, right? I would like to contact, them, personally.
