Dear Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government's handling of my FOI request 'Responsibility'.
i can not understand why my request is not being treated as FOI request. My request is something that the department should know.

[ GIVE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR COMPLAINT HERE ]
this is the second time that this department has refused to answer my FOI request and passed to other departments. all my questions have concerned local government and i would have thought that the minister should be able to answer questions about departments he is responsible for.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...

Dear Despatch Box,
Dear Sir i do not understand when you say that government have no jurisdiction over what local councils do.IF the local monitor is NOT ensuring that the council is obeying the LAW then surely they are answerable to someone further up the ladder?? i do understand that the C.E.O. is responsible for all within the council and have tried, very hard to see the c.e.o. and have been thwarted at every avenue apart from bothering the c.e.o. at home.
This was a F.O.I request and as so wanted a clear and honest answer and still do!
the response i received from James Potter was and is quite clear as to the monitors duties , but the duties are not being carried out and blatantly being ignored. So once again if the minister for Housing , Communities and
LOCAL GOVERNMENT is not responsible for local councils WHO IS????????????

i have not had a response from this minister on 2 occasions now on both occasions my request has been passed to the local stewards. although they have been helpful they advise that i must take my complaint to the c.e.o. of this council that is not possible. i have been trying for over 15 months to see the c.e.o. but it has not been possible or not allowed by this council.they have broken the law and their own stated policies on several occasions and seem to be constantly doing so.I believe that the minister SHOULD be intervening and ensure that the council ARE obeying the law and their own stated policies at all times. I also believe that it is this ministers DUTY to ensure that they do.
