Dear A Thurston

I am writing to acknowledge the receipt of your complaint (Copied below).

I have reviewed your request and can confirm that neither your request,
nor your subsequent complaint was actioned. For this please accept my
sincere apologies.

To summarise my findings:

o Your original request appears to have submitted to Staffordshire
County Council using our online form
o In response you have been sent an automated reply
o The next communication from you that I have been able to identify is
an email dated 10 October 2018 sent to
[1][email address] mailbox. This asked for an
internal review to be carried out
o This was forwarded to the person who was Access Manager at the time on
11 October 2018
o Having been asked to investigate and report back, I advised the Access
Manager that before the receipt of your email of 10 October I could
find no record of our receiving the request
o It would then have been the Access Manager’s responsibility to provide
you with a response to your request and complaint – The person in post
at the time left the council soon after

I have now sent your request - “Did Staffordshire County Council submit a
response to the Home Education – Call for Evidence and revised DfE
guidance which closed on July 2nd 2018?” to the relevant service team to
provide the information requested.

We will endeavour to provide you with a response within 20 working days.
Your request has been logged (Our ref. F0001524).
