Response

Unfortunately it is not possible to answer your request on the details
given. To enable us to answer your request, please can you please clarify
what is meant by respite care? For example, does this include provision at
residential schools which is part funded by social care as well as planned
short breaks services within the borough? And/or Crisis services? Do you
intend the term to capture any further type of care which we have not set
out here? If so, please specify what this is.

Dear FOI,

Respite care should include any short breaks, residential overnight stays and personal budgets or financial support provided to families to give them a respite or allow them to purchase respite services. Provision at residential schools should be included if it was funded/part funded by social care for the purposes of respite.

Yours sincerely,

Glyn Gaskarth
