Resources question

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Greater Manchester Combined Authority should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Greater Manchester Combined Authority,

I’m grateful for the information you recently provided. I have a couple of further questions these being:

1. (a) How many staff are employed to work on accountancy matters at this time?

(b) How many external staff from other public sector bodies provide accountancy support services at this time and is their support at cost?

(c) How many staff are employed to work on legal matters at this time?

(d) How many staff from other public bodies provide legal support services at this time and is their support at cost?

2. Please provide information on the total external legal spend by law firm, the number of matters and, where possible*, a basic description of the type of issue, in each of the following calendar years:

(a) 2017-2018
(b) 2018-2019
(c) 2019-2020 (up to 31.12.2019)

3. In respect of the contracts where spend has been above the relevant procurement threshold please provide the reference of the OJEU tender process or framework used.

Yours faithfully,

Raj

* I see that has been possible with other public bodies, although I’m just interested in a flavour of the types of issue encountered rather than confidential detail.
