Dear Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council,
You kindly responded to my previous FOI regarding missed bin collections for residential properties. (FOI 5712)
As a follow up, please find below additional questions:
1. Can you confirm that you count a missed bin collection as "one missed collection", even though some residential properties (flats), could have a multiple number of bins that were not collected..?
2. For 2014,2015,2016 and 2017, what is the total number of residential properties that have more than one bin of the same type (paper, glass etc..) per year (either actual or average)..?
3. How many of the residential properties that have more than one bin of the same type reported a missed bin collection in 2014,2015,2016 and 2017..?

Dear Mr Parker
Thank you for your email where you requested follow up information to
your previous FOI (5712)
Responses are as follows:
1. Can you confirm that you count a missed bin collection as "one missed
collection", even though some residential properties (flats) could have a
multiple number of bins that were not collected..? Yes, each report
received will count as one missed bin collection. If one resident calls
from a block of flats, this will be recorded as one missed collection. If
2 residents call from the same block of flats, this will be recorded as
two missed collections etc.
2. For 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, what is the total number of residential
properties that have more than one bin of the same type (paper, glass
etc.) per year (either actual or average)..? If a resident requests an
additional recycling bin, this is not identified in our system as an
additional bin and would just be logged as ‘deliver bin’. We therefore
cannot provide any data in response to this question as this could include
requests for replacement bins or damaged bins.
3. How many of the residential properties that have more than one bin of
the same type reported a missed bin collection in 2014,2015,2016 and
2017..? As per the above, we are unable to answer this question.
