We're waiting for Ben Jacob to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear University of Oxford,

I write to request information regarding research grants and donations received by the university over the past three financial years (2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19).
Following an earlier request, I am seeking information about research grants and donations received from particular companies, to particular departments. Following advice given by the Information Commissioner, I am requesting information about funding received by the university from the following companies, listed in order of priority:

1. BAE Systems

3. BP
4. QinetiQ

19. Saudi Aramco
20. L3 Technologies
21. Leonardo S.p.A.
22. Elbit Systems
23. Babcock International
24. Gazprom
25. Exxon Mobil

For the above companies, please list all projects, industrial research and industrial consultancy that the university has received funding for over the past three financial years, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19. Please also include donations from any of the aforementioned companies.
Considering the broad nature of the information requested, I am happy for the University to provide as much information as the time limit allows, by starting with the first organisation and working downwards, until the appropriate limit is reached.

Similarly, I am aware that the information being requested would need to be collected from different departments across the university. Accordingly, I am limiting the information requested to research grants, industrial consultancy and donations received by the following departments over the past three financial years, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19, listed in order of priority:

1. School of Engineering Science
2. School of Materials
3. Department of Computer Science
4. Saïd Business School
5. School of Physics
6. Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics
7. School of Chemistry
8. Mathematical Institute
9. School of Geography and the Environment
10. School of Earth Science
11. Oxford Centre for the Analysis of Resource Rich Economies
12. Department of Statistics
13. School of Zoology
14. School of Clinical Medicine
15. School of Physiology
16. Department for Continuing Education

As with the companies, I am happy for the University to provide as much information as the time limit allows, starting with the first department and working downwards, until the appropriate limit is reached.
Please ensure that details show the company that provided the funding, the start and end date of the contract/project, the title of the project/research/donation and the total funding of each contract/project for the past three financial years.

Yours faithfully,

Ben Jacob

Dear FOI,

I was told that I could expect a further response to this request by the 18 November - if possible, could I get an update on the timeframe for this response?

Kind regards,

Ben Jacob

Dear University of Oxford,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of University of Oxford's handling of my FOI request 'Research grants and donations received by the University'.

On 21 October, I received a response to my FOI request from a month earlier, giving a partial response. This partial response was accompanied by a message stating that not all the information would be passed on within the statutory deadline, because the commissioner was to be on leave from 25-30 October. However, I was told that I would receive a further response by 18 November. Given that thirteen days have elapsed since then, and the legal deadline has long passed, I am now requesting the full response that is due by law. I am also requesting an internal review into why I have not received further information, given that a follow up message was also sent nine days ago.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...

Yours faithfully,
Ben Jacob
