Clinical Quality, Royal College of Anaesthetists

Dear Sarah

The entirety of GPAS is freely available on our website here:
[1]https://www.rcoa.ac.uk/safety-standards-...

There is no self-assessment tool for GPAS, so I’m not sure what you are
asking for. If you could clarify, I will see what I can find.

Thanks

Ruth

Guidelines for the Provision of Anaesthetic Services, Royal College of Anaesthetists

Dear Sarah

Many thanks for your email.

Please can I clarify exactly what you are after before I send this across.
Is your request in relation to a specific GPAS chapter or are you
interested in the whole suite of [1]GPAS chapters encompassing 16 chapters
in total? Once confirmed, I’d be more than happy to send you across the
PDF for the relevant chapter/ chapters.

There is no self-assessment tool for GPAS. We publish the GPAS standards
and these are then used to underpin our Anaesthesia Clinical Services
Accreditation (ACSA) standards. ACSA engages anaesthesia departments in
quality improvement through peer review. The scheme is voluntary and
carries a subscription fee for engagement. Participating departments
benchmark their performance against a set of standards based on GPAS, and
work towards the goal of becoming accredited.

Further information about ACSA can be found on our [2]website and the 2023
standards can be found [3]here.

Best wishes,

Steph
