Dear Vale of White Horse District Council,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please may I request the following information in a excel spreadsheet format if possible:
- Total Number of vehicles within the council fleet, split into category and department (i.e. refuse vehicles, community buses etc)
- Total number of vehicles with CCTV camera systems installed
- Current supplier of CCTV camera system
- Total Number of vehicles with vehicle tracking / telematics installed
- Name of current tracking / telematics provider (if any)
- Telematics contract end date (if any)
- Contract budgets
- Name of Fleet Manager, or person responsible for managing the fleet

both South Oxfordshire District Council and Vale of White Horse District
Council, logged under FOI  23/340 South and 23/291 Vale. Please note that
the two councils operate as a shared service hence this joint response.

Please note, our current waste collection contract is outsourced to a
third party - Biffa Municipal. Biffa currently use 97 vehicles in total.
Of these vehicles, 58 have camera systems and 72 have telematics. 

 

Please treat this as the councils’ formal response under the 2000 Act.  If
you are not satisfied with the decision I have made in response to your
request, you can make a request for an internal review by emailing

days from the date we issued our response. If you remain dissatisfied
after following that procedure, you have the right under Section 50 of the
2000 Act to complain to the Information Commissioner if you feel the
council has not dealt with your request properly. If you remain
