Dear Mr Harforth,
Thank you for your email dated 27 August 2013 about Edubase.
You requested:

“Please provide me with the contact details for all Academies, Secondary and Primary Schools in the
UK. Please include the names of the Head teachers, Bursars / Finance officers, Site Managers /
Caretakers, Postal Address, Telephone Number, Fax Number and school email address, number of
children attending the school - where known. Please supply the data in Excel file format.”

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and a  copy of the
information as held by the Department as at 3rd September 2013 is attached.

I have prepared for you on an Excel spreadsheet –

A standard extract of all Educational establishments (including, LA Maintained, Independent,
Academies, CTCs, Free Schools, Studio Schools Further Education and Higher Education) in England
with addresses, Head Teacher details, school email addresses and telephone number where available.

The Department does not hold individual Head Teacher or school staff email information, and for this
reason we have supplied you with the school email address where possible.

The extract can be sorted to your own requirements by Phase of Education (primary, secondary etc.)
or Type of Establishment (academy, free school, community school, etc.). Further information on
these and other terms used within this extract can be found in the EduBase glossary:

Pupil numbers are available in the publication “Schools, pupils and their characteristics: January
2013” which is available on the GOV.UK website here:
