Freedom Of Information, Brighton and Hove City Council

Dear Jay Cannings,

I apologise for the delay in responding to this request. On three occasions recently, requests submitted via the What do they Know website have failed to arrive in the Council's freedom of information inbox. We are investigating the causes of this and have managed to identify that the emails are reaching our exchange server, so the problem is clearly one involving the Council's email system. We are continuing to investigate the cause and will look to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

You request has now been logged with the above reference and will be responded to with all due haste.

Regards

Dear Brighton and Hove City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Brighton and Hove City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Request for Organisational structure and pay grades within ICT Technical Services'.

The information should not be difficult to provide for an organisation such as yourselves. Please see below the sequence of events. I have been very patient waiting but it has now been 3 months since I made the request and I appear no closer to being provided the information.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/re...

In case this link does not work I also include it here.

14th Feb - FOI request made.

Please could you provide organisational structure chart(s) of the ICT Technical Services team(s), showing, or providing as additional documentation, pay grades, and job descriptions for posts within the structure (i.e. managers, specialists, application
developers, 1st, 2nd, 3rd line support, service desk, back office infrastructure (servers/network) etc.)

18th March - prompt that you have not responded within the required time period.

Dear Brighton and Hove City Council,

I am emailing to remind you that by law you should have responded promptly and within 20 days to my request. You have not done so. Please can you at least confirm that you have received the request.

Yours faithfully,

Jay Cannings

18th March - response explaining that my request was delivered to your Exchange environment but not delivered to the FOI mailbox. (I can only assume you have some kind of spam control and have not whitelisted messages to your FOI address which would be a permenant accident waiting to happen.) Also it says the request has been logged under a reference, but no reference appears to have been included.

11th April - further response 11th April. Not sure what required deadline she is referring to. If it's the 20 day one that was long gone by this point.
