Request for number of empty private sector homes owned by companies registered overseas

We're waiting for Sam Leon to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Westminster City Council,

Under the Freedom of Information Act can I ask for the following information from your authority on the number of empty homes:

- How many private sector homes are currently deemed as long-term vacant in your local authority i.e. have been empty for over six months?
- How many of these properties have been vacant for over a) two years b) five years and c) ten years?
- How many of these currently empty properties are owned by a company registered overseas (not in the UK)?
- Of those empty homes that are owned by a company registered overseas (not in the UK) I would like a breakdown of which those countries are registered in.

I should prefer to receive these in electronic format at this email address. I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the Land Registry publishes freely available data on which properties are owned by overseas companies which can be filtered by borough in case that is useful:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/hm-land-regi...

It would be helpful if you were to provide any brief notes which might be necessary to understand the context of the information provided, although I recognise that you are not obliged to do this. Ideally

Yours faithfully,

Sam Leon
