Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 I refer to your e-mail 15 October 2020, requesting:
“I am seeking to receive information regarding the Tier 3 Weight Management service that
is available to your patients.
Could I request answers to the below questions:
What is the name of the Tier 3 Weight Management Service available to your patients?
Do you commission the Tier 3 Weight Management Service?
If not, who does?
What number of patients have been referred to this service in the last 12 months of
available data?”
I can now respond as follows:
I am seeking to receive information regarding the Tier 3 Weight Management service
that is available to your patients.
Could I request answers to the below questions:
What is the name of the Tier 3 Weight Management Service available to your
patients?
AND,
Do you commission the Tier 3 Weight Management Service?
AND,
If not, who does?
AND,
What number of patients have been referred to this service in the last 12 months of
available data?
In relation to all of the above please be advised that NHS Grampian does not have a Tier 3
Weight Management Service.
Under section 20 (1) of the Act, if you are dissatisfied with the way NHS Grampian has
dealt with your request, you have a right to request a review of our actions and decisions in
relation to your request, and you have a right to appeal to the Scottish Information
Commissioner.
A request for review must be made within 40 working days and should, in the first instance,
be in writing to: Directorate of Corporate Communications, Foresterhill House, Foresterhill,

If you remain dissatisfied following an appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner your
recourse is to the Court of Session on a point of law.
