Request for Information relating to disposal of assets by The No1 Trust

The request was refused by Charity Commission for England and Wales.

For the attention of The Charity Commission for England and Wales.

Dear Sirs,

I would like to submit a freedom of information request regarding the sale of a property in 2012 (The Manor House, Compton Durville), a RESTRICTED ASSET, by the Incorporated Trustees of the Number 1 Trust Fund Charity no. 275353.

I would like the following to be released:
a) All information held between the Charity Commission and the Trustees of The number 1 Trust Fund proving that the Charity Commission was consulted on an undervalue sale. An undervalue sale would, according to the Charity Commission guide CC28, have needed their authority by Order.
b) A copy of the consultation period notice, for the disposal of The Manor House, Compton Durville, a RESTRICTED ASSET, by the Incorporated Trustees of the Number 1 Trust Fund Charity no. 275353.
c) Any documents to ascertain that the Trustees of the Number 1 Trust, Charity no. 275353 complied with section 121 of the Charities Act 2011 which requires them to give public notice inviting representations to be made to them by members of the public and beneficiaries of the charity.I understand that under charity law this document would have been in the public domain as is required when selling charity property that is classed as a restricted asset.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs Helen Cox

Mrs Cox:

You may want to think about withdrawing your first request (or this one), you only need to submit one since they are both the same apart from adding your full name to the second.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r....

You can use the 'Write a reply' option available through the blue 'Actions' button at the bottom of each request to let the Commission know you are just adding your full name to the first request, or to withdraw the duplicate second request. That option also lets you add annotations like the ones I've made, if you just want to add comments/updates that don't go to the Commission.

I'm guessing this is the first time you've used Whatdotheyknow, so if you need any help or advice about the service or your request your welcome to contact me by clicking on my name in either of my annotations and choosing 'send an email to' from the list of drop-down options.

I 'specialize' in charity law/regulation advice and am always willing to help out where I can. Emails sent through the above option use your Whatdotheyknow account address, so your not going to be giving away any personal email address details in case you were worried.
