Thank you for your request for information, which was received by
Manchester City Council on 11^th July 2022 and has been considered under
the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the 2000 Act”).

Details of your request

I am writing to request information regarding the number of roadworks
instances that have taken place within your council locality.

Specifically I would like the number of instances of roadworks that have
occurred from 1st January 2021 to present. If possible, I would also
request the cost of these roadworks during this time period.

Councils response

Unfortunately, the information you have requested is not held by
Manchester City Council due to permittable and non-permittable works.
Highways has a blended budget for road maintenance funding which includes
potholes, resurfacing, maintenance and other road repairs. This means
there is no single budget for roadworks for the period specified in your
request and it is not possible to dis-aggregate spend to the level of
detail requested.
