Dear [email address],David Smith gave conflicting evidence to the Horizon Inquiry. His written statement says he authorised two External Reports into Horizon Issues but in verbal statements this had grown to three such reports.I am hopeful you can supply the correct number-it might be 4 or 1 or even none?"A. So, I mean, I was very close. I mean, thisasking for an independent report is not a cardyou play every day but I had played it threetimes previously during my tenure. And,
generally speaking within Fujitsu -- witha technical issue, you wouldn't get them gettinga third party coming in but what you would getis people from the very top of the organisationwith no current connection to the Fujitsuaccount, brought in as a team to examine whatwas going on."Page 34,136 of his evidence transcript 23 Feb 23.He is saying that on three occasions he played this card, can you find any documents that support this?
