Request for graduation statistics
Dear University of Edinburgh,
I would like to request statistics regarding % of Linguistics students who graduate with a certain grade for 2018/19, 2019/20.
For example,
10% of students achieved 60-65%
8% of students achieved 65-70%
4% of students achieved 70-75%
...
...
1% of students achieved 80%+
Please do this for Msc Phonetics and include grade from 50%-100%, with divisions every 5%.
Yours faithfully,
Vera Yao

Dear Vera Yao
Thank you for your email of 11 April requesting information about
Linguistics and MSc Phonetics grades 2018/2019 -2019/2020.
The University’s working arrangements are affected by the Coronavirus
outbreak. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to tell you exactly when
you will receive a response to your request. However, I can confirm that
it is actively being progressed. While we are making all efforts to
respond to your request promptly, the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020,
which came into force on 7 April, has temporarily extended the maximum
timescales for responding to requests for information and internal reviews
received under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 from 20 to
60 working days. Further information about this change is published on the
[1]Scottish Information Commissioner’s website.
If you are unhappy with the way the University has handled your request,
you do have the right to ask the University to conduct an internal review
of the reasons for the delay. The [2]Scottish Information Commissioner’s
guidance about this during the Covid-19 pandemic is available on their
website. If you wish to submit a review request you should write to the
Records Management Section (using this email address), describing the
original request, explaining your grounds for dissatisfaction, and
including an address for correspondence. When the review process is
complete, if you are still dissatisfied, you may use the Scottish
Information Commissioner’s guidance on making an appeal to make an appeal
to the Commissioner.
