request for data previously published in Effectiveness Reports updated for 2011-12

The request was successful.

Dear Vehicle and Operator Services Agency,
In the 2010-11 VOSA Effectiveness report various data sets were made available which are missing from the 2011-12 Effectiveness Report. I have been advised by your press office to submit a FOI to access this data.
The data in question from 2011 Effectiveness Report, which I would like an updated version of, includes the following:

Table A1.1 HGV motor vehicle volumes and test fail rates
Table A1.2 HGV motor vehicle fleet by number of axles
Table A1.4 Age distribution of HGV vehicles licensed at end of year
Table A1.5 HGV operator distribution by fleet size band
Table A1.8 HGV trailer volumes and test fail rates
and: Information on the Goods Vehicle Operator Fleet Sizes.

This information is not available in the Traffic Commissioners Report.

I would appreciate this information being as current as possible.

Many thanks for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Louise Cole

Dear Vehicle and Operator Services Agency,

Thank you for your prompt response. I have confirmed with the VOSA press office that the data I am requesting which was contained in the 2010-11 report was not then in last year's report (2011-12). the format appears to have changed. It seems likely therefore that it will not be contained in the 2012-13 report either. I would be grateful if you would actually open the Heavy Goods Motor Vehicle Fleet Index for 2010 (part of the Effectiveness Report) and compare it to last year's Effectiveness Report and you will quickly see the omissions I'm referring to.

Thanks for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Louise Cole
