The request was partially successful.

Dear Defence Infrastructure Organisation,

Please can you provide definitions / explanations for the following columns provided in FOI 2020/09190 (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...) and FOI06688 (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/f...).

- What is the criteria used in populating the 'Serious incident' column?
- What is the criteria used in populating the 'Belligerence' column?
- What is the criteria used in populating the 'Is HSReportable' column?
- What is the criteria used in populating the 'Is Cadet Unit' column?
- What is the criteria used in populating the 'Safe Place Compromised' column?
- What is the criteria used in populating the 'Safe Place Fail' column?
- What is the criteria used in populating the 'Non Compliance' column?
- What is the criteria used in populating the 'DAIB' column?
- What is the criteria used in populating the 'Adverse Publicity' column?

Furthermore please can you provide further assistance on the following points:

- Would a member of the public's walking on the land be treated as an incursion if they were on the ash ranges danger area if the red flags were down?
- Would a member of the public's cycling on the land be treated as an incursion if they were on the ash ranges danger area if the red flags were down? (i.e. in contravention with the DIO understanding of the byelaws)
- How is the value used to populate quantity arrived at? (e.g. does the quantity 3000 next to a litter entry indicate 3000 pieces of litter? Does the quantity of 50 next to a foot incursion indicate 50 individuals?)
- Under the designation column, please can you provide definition of 'Near Miss'
- Under the designation column, please can you provide definition of 'Near Miss Incursion'
- Under the designation column, please can you provide definition of 'Rejection of RASP'
- Under the designation column, please can you provide definition of 'Trespass'
- Under the reported by group column, please can you provide definition of 'MGS'
- Under the sub designation name column, please can you provide definition of 'Perimeter Breach'
- Under the sub designation name column, please can you provide definition of 'SSSI breach'
- Would a member of the armed forces entering an area unexpectedly be treated as a foot incursion, or is this used only for members of the public?
- Several entries appear to be duplicates – e.g. 4/4/17 has three foot incursions all recorded by the same group at the same time (for quantities of 1, 1, and 3) – does this mean an entry has been recorded for each person in the incursion?
- Please can you indicate which areas of land does 'ASH RANGES' refer to under the establishment name column – please provide the military names (e.g. area E5, Ash common / pirbright common danger area)
- Please can you indicate which of the follow asset descriptions relate to areas that are inside of the recently fenced area (the area from which the public access has been removed) – if the asset description is used for areas of land both inside and outside of the recently fenced area, please indicate this.
