Dear Mr W Akielan,

Oxfordshire County Council does not hold the level of information you have
requested for this location, as it is not recorded.  We have provided the
information that we do hold on highway drainage, please find attached
document entitled KaarbonTech Report Cards.pdf.

Gully cleansing in Oxfordshire is managed on both routine and reactive
cleansing visits. This system is based on the collection of data from
historic flooding locations, data capture from our gully cleansing crews
and public enquiries. As you are no doubt aware some locations are more
prone to blockages, silting up and other debris than others and this can
be subject to weather and seasonal influences. This means we may not
always be able to undertake routine cleansing at the most appropriate time
of year or react quickly across the whole network when we have bad weather
across the County.

It is very helpful if the public can report blockages when they are aware
of them via Fix My Street and we are working on a more informative
response to such reports. In this instance, I can confirm that the system
has been checked due to the recent reports of flooding and it has been
established that the gullies run to an old soakaway that has failed. Work
is being programmed to resolve this issue and has been added to this
financial year’s list of works as a high priority.

I trust that the provision of this information is of some use to you.

Dear Oxfordshire County Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Oxfordshire County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Request for As-Built Road Drainage Plans, Forest Hill OX33'.

In your response to me you attached an activity report showing the alledged maintenannce carried out by OCC's Highways cleaning department. The very first entry in the report is blatantly incorrect as the gullies in question (Activity Item No 1 - Unique ID 290069251 - Gully Team 5 - Date 04 Nov 19) was not even touched by your gully cleaning gang on the date shown. I reported this particular Gully Team 5 visit in my post on FixMyStreet and complained that the driver of the tanker did not even stop (twice) to inspect the blockage. I was standing directly outside my house by the gullies in question talking to the road sign operative about the blocked gullies. The entry in your activity report stating the the jetting of the gully was completed is totally inaccuarate and totally misleading. Kindly refere to my FixMt Street posts about these particular gullies in question.

As a chartered civil engineer I do not accept your statement that as-built drawings of the road drainage infrastructure are not available in your database. I have seen the as-built drawings when the new gas main to my house was installed in July 2019. That information would have been provided by the local authority OCC.

Your statement that a failed soakaway has found to be the problem causing the blockages is in all probability totally incorrect as I have had to resort to rodding the gullies myself twice in the last 4 months ( see my FMS posts)to clear the blockages. Please note that my FMS postes refer to blocked gullies in two locations along main street.

I request a priority internal review to address the inrate reporting of work done by Gully Team 5. The activity log you have provided is cannot possibly be accurate in any way whatsoever.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...
