Request for all ESCC / BHCC correspondence over past 3 years relating to A259 & Status Clarification

The request was successful.

Dear East Sussex County Council,

It is more than 3 years since we presented a 17,000 signatory petition to look into the growing traffic delays on the A259 to ESCC, LDC and B&HCC.

B&HCC have consistently refused to look into the growing traffic delays on the B&HCC section of the A259, essentially saying they knew what they were doing.

With bus and general traffic delays having continued to grow and now being twice as long as before the bus lane, despite much less traffic, will you either confirm that this deterioration was as expected by ESCC and within plan or agree to an urgent initial study in advance of the A259 funding bid to address the wasted carbon emissions and severe economic consequences of these delays.

Additionally, please can you forward all correpondence and minutes from any meetings between ESCC and B&HCC relating to the A259.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Nigel Smith
