Request for admissions statistics

The request was successful.

Dear University of Cambridge,

I am writing to request information relating to applications in 2019 for undergraduate study at the University of Cambridge.

For candidates that meet three of five contextual flags listed below, or spent time in care, please provide:

- Number of applications
- Number of total offers (direct or pool)
- Number of pooled candidates (but subsequently unsuccessful)
- Number of unsuccessful candidates

Please break down this information per course. For each course, please also state the number of total applications and offers.

Contextual flags (first four of these being the same as those given on www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/adjust...

- Indices of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) - same criteria used to flag applicants for Adjustment (home postcode in bottom 30% of region)
- Output Area Classification (OAC2011) - same criteria used to flag applicants for Adjustment
- Participation of Local Areas (POLAR) - same criteria used to flag applicants for Adjustment (home postcode falls into the bottom 40% of areas ranked by this measure)
- Attending a school/college for post-16 education where fewer than five students have been made an offer by the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge over the past five years
- Attending a maintained sector school/college *for the entirety of their secondary and post-16 education* (not including candidates that applied from a maintained sector school/college, but had attended any other type of school, including a private school, at any point).

Yours faithfully,

M. Owens
