Dear Midland Metro Limited,

Under the Freedom Of Information Act i would like to please request a copy of your current faretable that shows the current Single and Return fares for all West Midlands Metro journeys. You used to have a faretable available to download on your website which showed the current Single and Return fares between any two stops. It was a very helpful and easy and quick to use and was a nice simple way to find out the fares between any two stops. However this seems to have now been removed and replaced with a fare finder instead which makes it much slower and more complicating to find out the Single and Return fares and you can not print it off either. So i was hoping that you should still have some faretable that you can send me like you have produced for many years previously. So under the Freedom Of Information Act i am just simply requesting a copy of your current faretable please. Any format you have such as PDF or anything else is fine. Thank you for your help. I look forward to your reply.

Thank you for your email requesting information under the provisions of
the Freedom of Information Act, which we received on 16 April 2021.
For ease of reference, I will set out your request below, followed by
our response:
 
Under the Freedom of Information Act I would like to please request a copy
of your current fare table that shows the current Single and Return fares
for all West Midlands Metro journeys. You used to have a fare table
available to download on your website which showed the current Single and
Return fares between any two stops. It was a very helpful and easy and
quick to use and was a nice simple way to find out the fares between any
two stops. However, this seems to have now been removed and replaced with
a fare finder instead which makes it much slower and more complicating to
find out the Single and Return fares and you cannot print it off either.
So I was hoping that you should still have some fare table that you can
send me like you have produced for many years previously. So under the
Freedom Of Information Act I am just simply requesting a copy of your
current fare table please. Any format you have such as PDF or anything
else is fine.
 
Since introducing the fare finder on our website, we no longer produce the
triangle diagram which can be used to find the fare between two stops. The
fare finder has been designed to help customers to find the best value
fare for their journey. As our network grows, it becomes increasingly
difficult to represent the different fare options in a table format.
 
I have attached a document which provides a breakdown of the adult and
child ticket costs for each of the journeys that a customer may travel on
our network, depending on the time that they choose to travel. Please bear
in mind that the fare that is provided in the spreadsheet may not
necessarily offer the best value. For example, if a customer will travel
by metro for multiple journeys that day, or week a day ticket or season
ticket may offer better value.
I trust that I have provided the information that you have requested in a
suitable format. However, if you are dissatisfied with the way in which we
have handled your request, you have the right to ask us to review it. You
should make your request for a review within 40 working days of receipt of
this letter, and we will provide our review within 20 working days of
receipt.  
 
If, following review, you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your
request you have the right under section 50 of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision.
 
        
Generally, the Information Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you
